New ALT (Assistant Language Teacher) came to Hida High School this September. She is Nicole Pehrson from the United States of America. When she introduced herself at the school assembly, she played the violin which she is really good at. She has a nice smile and is very friendly, so our students take initiative to communicate with her right after she came.
Following, we will introduce her message.
~A message from Ms. Nicole~
Hello! My name is Nicole Pehrson and I am the new ALT at Hida High School. I come from the beautiful state of South Dakota in the United States of America. In South Dakota, we have many lovely natural attractions and are famous for Mount Rushmore. Before I came to Japan to be an ALT, I was a music teacher in South Dakota. I love music, I love English, and I love teaching. I am very happy to be in the beautiful city of Takayama. I love Hida High School and I enjoy working with the students and the teachers here. I will do my best! I hope to learn many things about Japan and share many things about my hometown with the students at Hida High School. I hope we can enjoy practicing English together!
